COVID-19 PRECAUTIONARY INFORMATION UPDATE

The management at Pope and Sons is continuing to monitor the ongoing health issue of COVID-19. It remains our primary concern to follow Health Canada’s guidelines, and to implement all necessary precautions to slow the spread of the virus while minimizing risk to our customers and staff.

We are using multiple measures to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread, including decreasing the number of interactions with others and increasing the safety of our interactions within our workplace and on job sites.

We area asking all of our technicians to observe the following personal preventative practices that align with public health advice, and are respectful of co-workers in the workplace , and our customers in their homes and businesses.

  1. Asking clients if the are ill or have symptoms of COVID-19 before we enter their business or home when making appointments.
  2. Asking that employees stay at home if ill with symptoms until criteria to discontinue isolation have been met.
  3. Calling clients before arriving on a job site to allow them the option to be present, or to distance themselves from our technicians while work is being performed.
  4. The office offers contactless payment methods (e.g., contact office directly for staff assistance with credit card payments, e-transfer, or cheque. 
  5. Reinforce general practices to maintain physical distancing,  (keeping a distance of 2 metres from others which is one of the most effective ways to reduce the spread of illness, such as avoiding greetings like handshakes).
  6. Wearing gloves and non-medical masks or cloth face coverings.
  7. Promoting the use of personal practices (e.g., frequent hand hygiene, avoid touching the face, respiratory etiquette, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces with approved products).
  8. Environmental cleaning of the jobsite after work has been completed.
