Renewable Energy Systems Program

In Nanaimo and Lantzville on Vancouver Island, the Renewable Energy Systems Program is available for residents who are interested in purchasing a geothermal system, solar hot water heater, solar photovoltaic system, or a micro wind system. The regional incentive varies between $250 to $400 depending on if you are required to obtain a development variance permit. The Renewable Energy Systems Program is part of the Green Building Incentives Program, which also offers rebates on a wide range of energy upgrades, including oil to heat pumps, electric vehicle charging stations, and home energy assessments.
